Sankofa Daily is a brand owned and operated by Merevolek Holdings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company registered to do business in Texas ("Sankofa Daily," "we," "us," or "our"). We publish Black history content — videos, newsletters, research, infographics, reading lists, and educator materials. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you visit sankofadaily.com, subscribe to our email or text updates, buy something from us, or contact us, and what we do with it.

We only text people who ask us to. You opt in by giving us your mobile number and affirmatively agreeing — for example, by checking an unchecked consent box on a form on this site, by texting a keyword to our number, or by giving your number and consent verbally or in writing. Consent to receive marketing text messages is never a condition of buying anything from us.
Depending on what you opted in to, our messages may include new episode alerts, newsletter and reading-list links, stat drops, educator resource announcements, product and membership updates, and replies to questions you send us. We use your mobile number solely to send you the messages you opted in to and to respond to you. We use a messaging platform (our CRM provider, GoHighLevel, and the telecommunications carriers it connects to) purely to deliver those messages on our behalf — that is a support service, not a sale or a marketing disclosure, and those providers may not use your number for their own marketing.
You can stop the messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. We will send one final confirmation and then stop. You can also email [email protected] to be removed. For help, reply HELP or email us. Opting out of texts does not remove you from our email list, and vice versa.
We never sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and measure traffic in aggregate. Our site and messages are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not send text messages to anyone under 18. Educators, parents, and guardians are welcome to use our materials with students — but the account, the email address, and the phone number should be the adult's. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we work with established providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, though, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Please don't send us sensitive information (like card numbers or ID numbers) by email or text.
Our site links out constantly — to YouTube, to archives and primary sources, to booksellers, and to our own storefronts. Some of those are affiliate links (see our Terms of Service). Once you leave our site, the destination's own privacy policy applies. We're not responsible for how other sites handle your information.
We may update this policy as our operation changes or the law does. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is material — especially anything affecting how we use your mobile number — we'll tell subscribers directly before it takes effect.
