These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Merevolek Holdings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as “Sankofa Daily” ("Sankofa Daily," "we," "us," or "our"). By visiting sankofadaily.com, subscribing to our email or text messages, buying a product, or otherwise engaging with us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
You must be at least 13 years old to use this site, and at least 18 years old to opt in to text messages or to buy anything.
Sankofa Daily is a brand owned and operated by Merevolek Holdings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company registered to do business in Texas. We publish Black history content — videos, a newsletter, sourced statistics, reading lists, and educator materials — with the mission of preserving and popularizing that history accurately, accessibly, and independently.
You may read, share, and link to our content freely. You agree not to:

This section is the complete program terms for the Sankofa Daily text message program. It applies if you give us your mobile number and opt in.
By providing your mobile phone number and affirmatively agreeing — by checking the consent box on a form on this site, by texting a keyword to our number, or by giving us your number and consent in writing or verbally — you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from Sankofa Daily (Merevolek Holdings LLC) at that number, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system.
Consent is not a condition of purchase of any goods or services. You may still buy from us, subscribe to the newsletter, and use everything on this site without ever giving us your phone number.
You represent that the mobile number you give us is your own, that you are the account holder or have the account holder's permission, and that you are 18 or older. If your number changes or is reassigned, you agree to notify us so we don't message someone who never opted in.
You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, we'll send you a single confirmation message and then no more messages will be sent to that number. If you want to rejoin later, just sign up again and we'll start sending. You may also opt out by emailing [email protected] with the number to remove.
Opting out of texts does not unsubscribe you from our emails, and unsubscribing from emails does not stop texts — they're separate lists.
Reply HELP to any message for help, and we'll reply with our contact information. You can also email us any time at [email protected] .
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier's network and is not guaranteed. Supported carriers may change, and we can't guarantee that every carrier will carry our messages. Merevolek Holdings LLC is not liable for any delays, failures, or errors in message delivery.
Standard message and data rates from your carrier apply to every message sent to or from you — check your plan. We may change or discontinue the program, our keywords, our number, or these SMS terms at any time; material changes will be communicated to subscribers. We may also stop messaging a number that appears to have been deactivated or reassigned.
When you give us your email address, you're opting in to our newsletter and related updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribes promptly. We don't sell or rent our list — see the Privacy Policy.
The Sankofa Daily name, the Sankofa bird logo and seal, our brand system, and our original content — scripts, videos, infographics, research summaries, reading lists, and educator materials — are owned by Merevolek Holdings LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law.
What you may do: watch, read, share links, quote us with attribution, and use our free materials in your classroom or community program.
What you may not do without written permission: republish our content as your own, re-upload our videos, resell our materials, use our logo or name to imply endorsement or partnership, or train a commercial AI model on our content.
Historical documents, photographs, and public-domain source material we cite belong to their respective archives and rights holders — our use of them doesn't grant you rights to them. If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the details and we'll respond promptly.
When you send us a correction, a press inquiry, a question, or any other message, you keep ownership of it — but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and publish it in connection with our work, including publishing corrections in our public correction log. We won't publish your email address, phone number, or other contact details. Please don't send us anything confidential or anything you don't have the right to share.
Digital products (lesson packs, guides) are delivered electronically and licensed for your own classroom or personal use — not for redistribution or resale. Because they're delivered instantly, digital sales are generally final; if something is broken or not as described, email us and we'll make it right.
Physical merchandise is fulfilled by a third-party print provider; shipping times, returns, and exchanges follow that provider's policy, which will be shown at checkout.
Memberships and recurring support renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time through the platform you signed up on. Cancelling stops future charges; it doesn't retroactively refund past ones.
Affiliate disclosure: some links on this site — particularly book links on our reading list — are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It helps keep this work independent. Affiliate relationships never determine what we recommend.
We cite primary sources and correct our mistakes publicly — accuracy is the point of this project. But our content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of Sections 11 and 12 may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Merevolek Holdings LLC (d/b/a Sankofa Daily) and its members, managers, officers, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the site, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Merevolek Holdings LLC is organized under the laws of the State of Wyoming; its internal affairs are governed by Wyoming law, but your relationship with us under these Terms is governed by Texas law, where we maintain our principal place of business. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Midland County, Texas, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
Before filing anything, please email us at [email protected] — nearly everything can be resolved directly. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of it.
We may update these Terms as our operation changes or the law does. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes — especially to the SMS program terms in Section 4 — will be communicated to subscribers before taking effect. Your continued use of the site or the messaging program after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
These terms are written to be read, not to hide anything. They aren't legal advice, and they aren't a substitute for review by a lawyer licensed in your state.
